From Jakarta to Sintang (2009)

On friday morning the 20th of March 2009 we departed from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Jakarta) and flew to Pontianak (Sintang district of West Kalimantan – Borneo) where we were awaited by Novi and Eddy. A day in Jakarta (2009)

Second stop was Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Jakarta), expected to be more like the first stop; Kuala Lumpur but the contrast is big. Jakarta seems a lot less wealthy then Malaysia. In the taxi to our Hotel (Hotel Kchrysant) we are confronted with more misery. The “taksi” driver closes the blinded windows as we enter downtown where there is nearly any light on the street.
